Easemotion "New Beginnings"Program for Children with Congenital Conditions Officially Launches in 2026
On the afternoon of August 21, 2026, the official launch ceremony for the “Easemotion · New Beginnings” Support Program for Children with Congenital Birth Defects was held at Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University.
Amy Chen, Founder of Easemotion, attended the ceremony alongside representatives from the Guangdong Xinzhi Jiayuan Charity Foundation, the hospital’s Department of Pediatric Surgery, and a dedicated team of volunteers.
Together, they marked the beginning of a long-term charitable initiative created to provide meaningful support to children with congenital conditions and families facing financial difficulties.
How It Began: A Small Reading Corner on Children’s Day
The story began several months earlier, on Children’s Day.
That day, volunteers from the Guangdong Xinzhi Jiayuan Charity Foundation visited children receiving treatment at Zhujiang Hospital. Two reading corners were opened in the hospital’s pediatric wards, creating welcoming spaces filled with picture books, soft mats, and a little comfort away from medical procedures and treatment.
For children spending long periods in the hospital, these small spaces offered something simple but important—a place to read, relax, and enjoy a moment of childhood.
A Simple Message That Inspired Action
During a discussion following the opening of the reading corners, Dr. Zeng Jixiao, Director of Pediatric Surgery, shared a thought that stayed with everyone in the room:
“We should not only help children survive, but help them live well.”
His medical team has helped change the lives of many children through professional treatment and surgical care. At the same time, they have also witnessed the difficult reality faced by families who know treatment is possible but struggle to afford it.
It was during that conversation that Amy Chen began asking herself a simple question:

On August 21, that initial idea officially became the “Easemotion · New Beginnings” Support Program for Children with Congenital Birth Defects.
The initiative was launched with funding from Guangdong Easemotion Lifestyle Apparel Technology Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Guangdong Xinzhi Jiayuan Charity Foundation and the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University.
During the launch ceremony, hospital leadership expressed appreciation for Easemotion’s support and emphasized the hospital’s commitment to ensuring that assistance reaches children and families who genuinely need it.

A Visit to the Pediatric Ward: When Small Acts Mean More Than We Imagine
After the launch ceremony, Amy Chen joined Bao Fengyuan, Founder of the Guangdong Xinzhi Jiayuan Charity Foundation, along with representatives from the foundation and volunteer team, to visit several children receiving treatment in the pediatric wards.
Under the guidance of Dr. Zeng Jixiao, the group met with children and their families and delivered small gifts that had been prepared for them.
The smiles on the children’s faces—and the happiness and gratitude of their parents—made the meaning of the initiative immediately tangible.
Opening a New Door of Hope
One of the children they met had been born with a complex congenital condition.
His family had already taken him to several hospitals and he had undergone two surgeries, yet his condition had not significantly improved. Still searching for hope, his family came to Zhujiang Hospital for another opportunity for treatment.
For his parents, giving up was never an option as long as treatment remained possible.
But there was another challenge they could no longer ignore: the cost.
With a large family depending primarily on the father’s income, years of medical treatment had already exhausted much of their savings.
On the same day that the “Easemotion · New Beginnings” program officially launched, the child became the first patient recommended for assistance through the initiative.
For his family, a new door of hope had opened.
In another hospital corridor, a father repeatedly thanked the volunteers. For families like his, the greatest fear is not simply that a child is ill—it is knowing that treatment may be possible while financial difficulties stand in the way.
Sometimes, receiving support at the right moment is enough to give a family the strength to keep going.

The launch of the “Easemotion · New Beginnings” program is not the end of a charitable event.
